Skincare Haul

My skin's been in a right state at the moment, so I feel as though I need to switch up my skincare routine and the products I use. These are the bits that I picked up today and I'm hoping that they'll help my skin come back to at least its normal state, even though I still have my acne scarring!

001- No7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser: As this is supposed to be a dupe for the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, I decided to try it as Liz Earle is so hard to get hold of unless I order it online and I'm trying not to do that so much. Anyhow, this was £9 from boots and has 200ml in the bottle and comes with one muslin cloth. I tried this tonight and it made my skin extremely soft and removed every single bit of my makeup - Extremely Impressed!

002 - Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser: After watching "Miss Budget Beauty's" Video on this earlier today, when I popped into town I had to buy it! I needed a new moisturiser anyway but I'm hoping this really lives up to the video hype. I haven't used this yet, as I'm typing this with a face mask on (white chocolate by the way, hehe!) So yes.. I will try this when I've taken this off. I'm uber excited!
003 - Aapri Exfoliating facial scrub cream: I have never heard of this brand before but while I was browsing my local savers, I thought it looked different, meaning that it's a cream rather than a gel (if you get me!). Again, I needed a new exfoliator, so this should be nice to try!
004 - Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Cleanser: God, I only just realised how out of stuff I was as I needed a new cleanser as well! Basically, I know that my No7 Cleanser that I got is quite obviously a cleanser and I will use it everyday, but I need something to target my spots as well, so this should do the trick. I used this after my No7 Cleanser tonight and I really liked how it felt and it smelt really nice and soothing.

005 - Montagne Jeunessue Face Masks - From L-R: Fudge Sundae, Passion Peal-Off, Miracle Mud, Chocolate Masque, White Chocolate Masque (The one I've got on now) I think everyone must have tried these masks one day in their lives, I really like them and all the different flavours they do. I've been using one every sunday night before school, but as it's my first day back tomorrow, I've got it on tonight.

006 - Witch Clear Pore Strips: The blackheads on my nose have got really bad in the past week and I wanted to get some of these as they seem to do the trick when my blackheads go bad.

I also brought some things that weren't skincare so..
007 - Lacura Makeup - I know that I said I wasn't going to buy any other makeup but these were for reviewing purposes only and I just wanted to see how they compared to other things. I brought: Powder Blush in Sunset (Suppose I should've shown you the colour really!)  Lipgloss in Cherry and Liquid Foundation in Transparent. I heard good things about the foundation so yeah. Looking forward to trying those out!

008 - Dorothy Perkins Snood - I've wanted this for like an ice age but I couldn't bring myself to fork out £12 for something I didn't need. However, they reduced it to £8 and mum brought it for me! I really love it and by the way, sorry for the horrible picture of me!  I couldn't show it properly without me being in the picture.

So these were the bits I brought today,
Hope you liked them!

Loveyou,
Jess

Somewhat Summary - Sunday

I've been really enjoying this segment on other peoples blogs, so I hope you don't mind but I thought I'd do it to.

one - This is me and my little cousin, I dragged her to come and see Justin Biebers Film - Never Say Never, In 3D may I add! All you haters of him will not understand our love because well he's amazing <3   Anyway.. It was lovely to spend the day with her and we had a really nice time.
two - I've really been loving 'Shopping My Stash' this week as I mentioned in a post earlier, and these are some beauties that I've come across - MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation, Mac Cremesheen Glass in Richer,Lusher, Elf Blushing and Bronzing Palette, Elf Tickled Pink Blush, Bourjois Bronzer in 52.
three- I feel as though there has been lots of videos/posts in the past few weeks on how to make things so I did make some bits. In the picture you'll see my homemade lipbalm/lipgloss and my homemade eyeprimer. Also I have two of those tins that you get with the bodyform sanitary pads, so I made my own little makeup palettes with the natural collection blushes and eyeshadows that I had lying around. The other thing you can see is just magnetic strips (:
four - I went to london, as per usual on school holidays and I've decided I want to live there when I'm older. I know I'm only 15, but I'm looking into universities and am really interested in the London Collage Of Fashion, If any of you go or have gone to that uni - could you let me know what it's like? Oh and we also shopped, again as per usual! I picked up some bits from topshop, jack wills and needed some bits from MAC. I'm really pleased with the bits I got to be honest!
five - I've spent a lot of time with my family this week and it really has been nice, I usually spend a lot of time with them anyway as I'm really close to them. We had some family friends down on wednesday and that was really nice, because I'm really close to them all. We go on holiday together and we see each other quite often, but it's always nice  to see them again, as I could put my life in one of their arms and know that It would be okay <3

Thanks for reading my ramble their and sorry that my last two 'things' didn't have pictures!
Love you!

A Way To Save Some Money?

How are you all doing this evening?   I've taken a little break from my science revision, to share with you all something that I've been doing to save myself some money recently (:

The first thing is something that's really helped, and this is keeping a wish list on my macbook and on paper of makeup and clothes that I want. Basically, with me I find that if I go into boots to, lets say pick up some shampoo, and there is offers on with makeup, I'll 99.9% of the time buy something even though I know I shouldn't. Then I'll get home and end up with something that I kind of didn't even want. Now, I've come up with a list of "higher-end" makeup that I want:

Nars Orgasm Blush
Nars Laguna Bronzer
Nars Sex Appeal Blush
Nars Deep Throat Blush
Nars Dolce Vita Blush
Nars Torrid Blush
Nars Amour Blush
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation/ Nars Sheer Matte Foundation in Fuji
Nars Powder Foundation in Fuji

MAC Peaches Blush
MAC Well Dressed Blush
MAC Twinks Eyeshadow
MAC Patina Eyeshadow
MAC Hue Lipstick
MAC Creme Du Nude Lipstick
MAC Blankety Lipstick
MAC Angel Lipstick
MAC MSFN in Light/Medium   - GOT IT
MAC Studio Fix Powder - GOT IT
MAC Studio Finish Concealer - GOT IT

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer in 01
Benefit Erase Paste in 01

Coastal Scents 10 Colour Blush Palette
Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette
Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette

This seems to have helped me, as now when I visit boots or superdrug, I don't pick things up that I don't need. Because, the money that I would have spent on those bits will then go to the things on my wishlist (:
As you can see above, there is three things that I have purchased.
For some of you, It may seem such a silly way to save money but it gives me a real sense of achievement when I can cross something off of my list!

My next method that I've been using is one that you've probably heard of - Shopping my stash!
I've just uploaded my makeup collection video onto my youtube ( you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0To-Dm8RsFE )  and well, once I watched it back, It really sank in how much of the makeup I don't use enough! So I've been going through my 'Stash' and each day trying to use something different on my face and for me, I've re-descovered some beauties (:

Hope you all found this helpful!

Update

Hello to all my beautiful followers and to anyone else who is about to read this ramble of writing. I feel as though I need to update you all on what's been going on with my blog as to be honest, since 2011 has begun I have completely neglected it.
-My first reason is that I have got my YouTube up and running properly and have been putting up videos at least three times a week, so that has taken up a big chunk of my time.
-My second reason is that school and revising for silly exams is just getting stupid, and literally after this exam is over I never want to hear the word Biology ever again!!
-and Thirdly..  I've not really had much inspiration, nothing really to blog about. If I love a product, I've mentioned it in a video, and as I know that some of you read my blog as well as watch my YouTube, that would be pretty boring for you all:/

I've come across a few beauty blogs in the past few months that have been not posting as regularly or have even stopped blogging completely (Lollipop26 - Come Back Pleaseee!) I just feel as though, everyone is trying to blog about the same product and I know that if I read three reviews on one thing, thats enough to make up my mind on whether to buy it or not. I don't need to read fifty-four of them!

I'm not going to blab on and on about the beauty community dying or anything like that as I still love it dearly and don't think it's anyway near its way out of any of our lives!
I was basically wondering, would you all mind if I do 'off-the task' posts. Meaning they aren't completely about just makeup and beauty products. I feel as though, I've been enjoying posts that people do that are basically just about what they've done that week and what's been going on with them. I know it's being nosey, but aren't we all! Anyway.. So as I've been enjoying those posts the most, I now want to write more posts like that.

Thank you for any of you that have read till now!
If any of you could let me know whether you'd mind posts such as, what I mentioned above then could you all let me know in the comments down below (: ?

I love you all dearly and thank you for supporting me.

Avon: Your Thoughts?

I just wanted to ask you all something in this post. My mums friend from work is an Avon representative and has given her a catalogue, now as she doesn't have that big of an interest in makeup as I do, she's given it to me and has asked me if I want anything.

Now, I have never ordered from Avon as I've always thought of it for older women (don't know why!?) but over the past year, I feel as though it's been mentioned more on blogs and throughout YouTube.

I am writing this to ask you all what you think of Avon, and whether you think it's worth me ordering anything from there or whether you think that it's kind of pointless? (:

I would also love to know what you guys think I should pick up from there? Or what I should steer clear of! (:

Thanks my lovelies!

Horoscopes.. I'm addicted!

I just wanted to tell you all about an app for my beloved iPhone 4 I've come across in the past few weeks. It's Elle horoscopes uk..

This app shows daily, monthly and yearly horoscopes for each star sign. As it is for Elle and not for astronomers,it kind of dums down the horoscope for you and doesn't try to confuse you with the mumbo jumbo of 'Venus has come into your sign this month' and 'the comet is in your zone' as to me and I'm guessing to many others, this doesn't really make sense!

This was mine for today..

I understand this and since I'm only fifteen, I'm guessing the majority of the population who are Interested in their horoscope would understand it.

I've kind of been addicted to it and tend to read it at the start of everyday as it gives me 'an aim' to achieve rather than just wasting a day!

This was a kind of pointless post but still, if you're interested in your horoscope and this type of thing, then you might want to download it! It's free as well! (:

Some little purchases...

Firstly... The reason why I haven't been posting is because my camera has broken! I haven't been able to take any pictures, therefore have had not much to write about. However, I have figured that it's the words that matter and not the pictures! So, I am going to use pictures off of google images hope that It's okay for you all! (:

PhotoReady Compact Make Up
I swear that at the drugstore, they are really trying so hard to incorporate technology so much into their makeup and beauty products it is almost ridiculous! I think that they may think that including teachnology makes beauty-addicts want to buy their makeup, as high-end don't really use that technique as for them- it's the product inside!  Anyway.. onto the product itself! I loved the Revlon PhotoReady foundation anyway, so I really wanted to try this when the advert came onto the TV.
However, I didn't expect what I saw when I went to look at it in boots..

here is where the foundation comes out of! No, it doesn't come off- It basically liquifies the foundation and breaks it down rather than it being a very thick consistency. It's a great foundation and it's really nice! I used it this morning and it leaves a very natural finish to the face. I would say this is a medium coverage foundation, even though it is pretty build-able. It feels extremely lightweight on the skin and for me this has made an excellent first impression on me!    Pick it up now from boots for £9.99 until 28th February, then it will be raised to £12.99.

No7SpringLimitedEditionLipstickGrace%C3%82%C2%A310.50.jpg
No7 Spring Collection 2011 - Lipstick in Grace
This is a gorgeous neutral colour and I really like it. At £10.00, I think it is a bit highly priced for a drugstore lipstick, as you can pick up one at MAC for £13.50! However, I don't think the quality is any less than a MAC one, the other colour looked a lot like MAC's Viva Glam GaGa Lipstick, however I didn't swatch it as I knew I wanted this one as I'd seen it on so many other blogs! (:
The packaging is cute, but however because it's only cardboard, I can see it looking very battered after a week in my bag! It's a very nice creamy and moisturising consistency and I think it really feels nice on the lips. It's kind of a weird colour- In the tube it looks brown, when swatched it looks like a cute rosy pink colour and when on the lips it looks like a my-lips-but-better colour!  I would defiantly also urge you to go and pick this one up to if your on the look out for a nice neutral colour for the spring! (:

All in all, I'm quite happy with the bits I picked up yesterday, even they were only two things! (:
