My Fav' Make-Up Combo's Of The Moment...

I took these pictures back when I was in Italy on holiday but as you'll probably know if you follow me on twitter is that my MacBook completely broke whilst we were out there so I couldn't persist with my outfit post or my reviews that I set out to do. However, it is now back up and running and I'm now back on the 'blogging and youtube band-waggon'!

I never used to see the point in mixing products or trying to make certain things work with others and I defiantly never thought one product could improve another but how I was wrong...

Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Pink in the afternoon, Mac fluidline in blacktrack, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Nude Delight, Softlips lipbalm, My Face Cosmetics Lipstick in 137, Fake Benefit Eye Liner Brush, Sigma E25 Brush, Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer in 52, Barry M Lipliner in Pink, Mac Paint in Bare Canvas.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer with Sigma Travel E25 Brush:

These two together work like a dream. The concealer is perfect for the under eyes as it doesn't feel or look heavy on the skin meaning it doesn't cake or stick to any of the dry patches on the skin. It also manages to cover everything up as well whilst still making the skin look like skin. The brush however is the thing that really does make this concealer shine.. It blends it into the skin to create an airbrushed finish to the under eyes and also gives a more concentrated coverage to a certain area than it would if you were applying it with your fingers.
Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack, Mac Paint in Bare Canvas and Fake Benefit eye liner brush:

These three put together create my simplest eye look. The Mac Paint does a great job at priming the lids and this is now the only primer I use for all eyeshadows, however it is also very opaque and creates a great background colour for liner on the upper lash line. Gel Liner has vastly become my favourite eye liner method and this little gem of a brush helps it to glide with ease. I ordered this fake benefit brush from eBay for £1.99 and I have to say, I've never spent a better two pounds on anything. I've always wanted a bent eyeliner brush and the only one that people seem to talk about is the one from coastal scents which is extremely hard to get over here sadly so I took a risk and got this one instead and I'm happy to say that these three work amazingly well together!

My face cosmetics lipstick for fair skin tones in 137 and Revlon super lustrous lipgloss in nude delight:

I have recently posted on here that I do not under any circumstances suit nude lip products and I truly did believe that as I had tried so so many of them from Mac to 2true and non of them had completely suited me. However, whilst mooching around the isles of a nearby boots store I came across this beauty of a lipstick and as soon as it was swatched, I just had to have it. It's the perfect nude with a pinky-rose undertone which suits me better than a cold blue-pink one. My only problem with this lipstick is that it can be a tiny bit drying and sometimes needs a bit of spicing up! I love to apply this lipgloss in the middle of my lips to plump them up a little and get them looking a bit more shiny.

Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Pink in the afternoon, Illamasqua Lipgloss and Barry M lipliner in Pink:

I am a complete newbie to lipliners, until I brought this one, I had never used one before as if I'm honest.. I always thought they were for older women in their late forties who were trying to keep their lips defined. After using this one though, I shall be purchasing some more as this one really did help my lipstick to stay on a lot longer even through a 4 course meal and 5 glasses of coca cola! You now could be wondering what the Illamasqua lipgloss is doing there as lets be honest, the colours are completely different.. well, this lipgloss is a funny one, in which it's a thick white gloss with lots of blue and pink iridescent glitter particles which run throughout it. This gives the lip colour more dimensions as when it hits the light, it shines a different colour.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you enjoyed!

A Few Little Purchases...

001 - topshop face wipes: I needed some new face wipes and as I was in topshop I decided to pick some up. I'll let you all know how I get on with them! I'm thinking of doing a series where I'll test different cleansers, exfoliaters, eye make-up removers and face wipes and give my verdict on which ones I liked and which ones I didn't. What do you think? These were £2.50
002 - Romeo and Juliet: As I mentioned in my monday ramble last week, I am rather loved up with mr leonardo d'caprio! After watching this in english literature, I had to sneak it into my order off of amazon to get my hands on this for regular d'caprio time!
003 - topshop lip polishes: I love love love love these! I don't have any tinted lip conditioners and these are amazing, they're so moisterising and such beautiful colours, they come out quiet sheer however they do have a lot of pigmentation when built up - if that makes sense! These were £14.00 for the set and it consists of the colours - Chiffon,Cracker and Cherry Picker. However the price for them individually is £6, so this deal is pretty good! These don't seem to be in the normal line but are lovely colours. I want to get my hands on some more of these topshop lip polishes!
004 - A few nail varnishes: (L-R), The first one was free with shout magazine, and the only reason I brought it was because it was included in there, however it doesn't have a name or number. The second one is Barry M's Dusky Mauve and has purple holographic glitter in it, however there is not much of the glitter and as I have just found out, when applied to the nails you can't see the purple glitter very well at all. The third is Clear -No.3 from Beauty UK, I needed a new top coat and thought this would do for the while. The last one, is Barry M's Nail Effect, I'm sure everyone has heard about this one so I won't say anymore, except for I'm scared to try it!
005 - MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light/Medium: I told myself that I wasen't going to buy myself any MAC until after christmas except when I realised that I couldn't even live one day without this, so I had to get a replacment for my old one!

This Is what my lovely best friend got me for christmas...

she knows me very well!
if you haven't worked out what present number two is, they're strips of an eye look that you place on your eyes when shut and i think apply water or something and then your eyes come out with the eye look on them! So I'm very excited to try those out!

sorry this has been such a long post!
love you all,

HG foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid

I feel bad that before christmas I'm spending money on myself, but I couldn't live without my MAC Studio Fix Fluid! I had it in NW20 back in October but now as my skin is so pale, I went and brought it in NC15. My dad didn't seem too happy about me spending £19 on a foundation two weeks before Christmas, but to be honest it's all my skin likes!
I have tried my hardest to use every other foundation that I own but it's just not the same!

I'm out so I can't take a picture of my own but here is the exact same one as mine.

I like to apply it with a sponge as I find it goes on more smoothly with that and I get a better finish. However I know that my dad has brought me The MAC 187 for christmas and I have an elf powder brush on order so I'm looking forward to trying it out with these.

I tried so hard to go back to my MAC Studio Sculpt but I felt that that collected on the dry areas of my face. I then tried to use Revlon Colourstay for a while,Gosh's X-ceptional foundation and none of these did it for me so I just went back and brought a new one but in a shade lighter as I noticed that I was looking a tad orange!

I like to set this with my newly founded and very much loved- Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. I only have the tester but I'm going to have to purchase the full size because I'm in love with it so so so much! It adds to the perfect finish that the foundation gives and makes my skin look ultra smooth but also matte.

My only problem with this and it really doesn't bother me that much is that it seems to run out pretty fast as I brought it at the start of October and it had ran out by the middle of November. Maybe this is me being stingy but I love this so much that this over rides this problem. For £19,I couldn't ask for more except for a little bit more to come in the bottle than 30ml.

If you're looking for a new foundation and not sure which one to get,I would 100% get your hands on this one because I can guarantee unless you have extremely high expectations that this will fulfil you're foundation prospects.

Why don't I love them!?!

Nude lipsticks and me just don't click! I have four of the things and only one of them suits me and it's not really a nude!
I've really tried to love them but it just doesn't happen, I don't know why?
These are the four I own..

from left to right:
MAC Myth, MAC (? miscellaneous), Gosh Darling and ELF natural nymph. All of these are beautiful colours, however they just never look right on me. Whether it's because I think I look like a right tart! or the fact that I just don't suit nudes! Brighter colours just look so much better on me.
However, the lipstick second from the left-the MAC one actually works! This MAC lipstick is discontinued and I got it from Bicester CCO. Sadly, most of the letters have rubbed off the bottom of the lipstick so i don't actually know the colour name. This is a lustre lipstick which is my favourite finish to a lipstick. As you can see,the colour is a lot pinkier than the rest, that it is nearly not even a nude at all!
Can any of you recommend some colours that are more pinky shade nudes? Like the one above? Do any of you have trouble wearing nudes as well or am I alone!

My favourite of the week

I want to share something that I've been leaving out of my life that now needs a place again. At the moment,I seem to be loving things that I've had for a while:)

This one is.. MAC's Mineralise Blush in Warm Soul. You may remember me hauling this item just after my birthday?
Well it kind of got ignored as I brought it at the same time that I brought MAC's Springsheen and that was way nicer at the time.

So here it is. As most of you will know, MAC mineralise blushes are domed. They contain 3.5g of product but as most of you know, blushes don't get used up very quickly. The mineralise blushes are extremely smooth and very pigmented as most MAC blushes are!

without flash

with flash

This is me wearing the colour. In the pan it looks bronzy with gold shimmer. In the pan it also looks like there is large chunks of glitter that may transfer onto the skin, however they don't. The colour is beautiful on and only has a slight bronzy affect. It is mainly a dusty pink with gold shimmer. It's very pretty and I really enjoy wearing this colour:)

What's your favourite MAC blush?

MAC Haul! :)

my MAC parcel was at my feet when i walked through the door and i was just so excited about it all i had to blog about it!
i got some money for my birthday and knowing me, the day after i was off on MAC's website looking for some other bits of make-up that i totally didn't need what-so-ever!

i came across things i'd 'favourited' before hand and did some 'ahh-ing' and 'ooo-ing' but decided on these four lovely beaut's...

my first little beauty was the Fluidline in Blacktrack - i'm really excited to try this and i think i'm going to apply it with my 263 and see how it goes. i'll let you know :')

the second is the Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35 in NC20 - i brought this because i was out of my collection 2000 lasting perfection and fancied trying something different. i've read so many great reviews about this one so it should be good but i need a new concealer brush first before i can even try this - furstrating or what!?!
so the review on this one could take a little while longer!

third is this gorgeooousss mineralize blush in warm soul - i have it on right this minute because i couldn't wait so i did my face again just for this!
its a lovely peachy-pink with slight gold shimmer-but hardly anything at all. i love this so much and i'll give you a review on it soon,  once i've given it a good go but after applying it once and seeing the pay off i'm guessing it's going to be a pretty good one (:

i know, i know its another blush but my obsession seems to be changing between products every two seconds! this is the Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Springsheen and no i haven't tried this one yet, but it feels and looks so gorgeous! this is a mid-shade pink with gold shimmer but this one has more of it than warm soul but not to much that its over powering and it doesn't look chunky either (:
i'll try this one tomorrow for you all!

so that was my lovely little MAC Haul for you all and i'm really happy with the bits i've purchased. there will be another haul up in the next few weeks as i'm going to do a big e.l.f order tonight (:

oh and also, thought i'd let you know..  the shipping on this order was amazing - i ordered this bunch on sunday night at around 7 o'clock and it was here today by ten in the morning, thought it was pretty good in my eyes!
